Our Family and Bakery History

Carl and Mildred Long -1955

Carl and Mildred Long had a vision for a family bakery and to create a warm and inviting space where customers can enjoy freshly baked goods made with love and care. They aimed to offer a wide variety of baked goods, from bread and pastries to cakes and cookies, all made with the finest ingredients and traditional recipes.

Their vision was to create a sense of community and connection, where customers feel like they are part of the family. They focused on quality, service, and creating a welcoming atmosphere that keeps customers coming back for more. Their dream of building a legacy for their family has continued from generation to generation that still remains today!

Generation to Generation

The Bakery Begins

The house in front of the bakery was where Carl and Mildred Long raised their children and remained a home until the early 2000s. They set the tone for their family business, with having their business in their back yard.


A family of Bakers

 From generation to generation, each of the owners are actual bakers, on the bench making fresh goods daily. With long hours and being open 7 days a week, we aren’t like most bakeries that just make our donuts at night and then sell whatever is made during the day. We make fresh donuts throughout the day to ensure high quality products. 

We do things old school, we don’t bend to society norms of buying mixes and pre made products or taking debit cards. We like to stay true to the nostalgia of who we are as a true from scratch bakery.

Making the Dough

Before the donuts can be cut - they need to be flattened to ensure eveness.

Each donut is cut by hand, that's why no two look alike. 

Shape the Donut

Before the donuts go into the fryer they are shaped and stretched.

Fry Time

The donuts go into the fryer to get deliciously golden!
